Singer's Bootcamp

Do you love to sing? Are you ready to take your singing to the next level? Do you want tools to help you improve your singing? Do you want to love your voice?

We want you to experience the fullness of your singing abilities and be able to sing with freedom and joy! And be able to have fun while learning everything there is to know about your voice. Join teachers Tasha Koontz and Kathryn Lillich on a journey of vocal discovery through wholistic learning designed for people at all levels of experience and ability.

In this workshop, you'll receive daily group instruction from 10 AM until 2 PM with an option to add on an extra hour of focused study at the end of the day. You will learn how to listen to your body and we will break down the components of singing so that you can become your own best teacher. At the end of the week, you'll know how (and what!) to practice, problem solve, and adjust your technique to suit your singing needs.

Each day, we will focus on a particular aspect of singing with an hour of body awareness followed by an hour of singing technique. Then following a half hour break, we will have a 90 minute masterclass to give you a chance to perform and get feedback on your performance and technique with what you've learned so far. At 2 PM Mon-Thursday you are invited to add on an hour of focused work on a particular subject. Come to as many or as few of these classes as you wish. We will be covering the ins and outs of singing in any style, learning specific techniques for choral singing, how to use the International Phonetic Alphabet to your advantage, and dive into the world of vocal improvisation. On Friday 2-3 PM we would love for everyone to stay and celebrate your hard work and success with us as the conclusion to our program.

We are offering you the equivalent of over 5 months of instruction in 1 week for the low price of $500. That same amount of private instruction would cost over $6500! Grab this opportunity since spots are limited to the first 30 people who register.

The workshop will take place at Congregation Beth Israel. Yes, there is parking and the facilities are accessible.

This particular wokshop is for adults only at this time. Should interest arise for a version created for children and young adults, we may consider that in the future.
