Singer Breanna Sinclaire's Benefit Concert To Fund Her Transition Goals
Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
“Breanna Sinclaire’s Benefit to Raise Funds for Her Transition Goals” is a benefit concert where proceeds will aide her healthcare. Breanna recently was featured in The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Opera Now Podcast, The Advocate, KQED POP and OUT.com. She’s currently studying for her Masters at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where last year she broke barriers by being the first woman of Trans experience to be accepted into their prestigious opera program.
Yet although she’s accepted by her school, many friends and her church, the stark reality is she and many other American women also born with her medical condition are systematically denied the essential human right to affirming and sometimes life-saving transition-related medical treatment due to institutionalized discrimination and misgendering.
The concert shall include works by the favorites of opera and song: Handel, Massenet, Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Bizet, et al, accompanied by Mr. Benjamin Ginsberg on the piano. A reception shall follow, full of champagne, hors d'œuvres and a chance to mingle with Ms. Sinclaire herself. Your attendance and patronage are greatly appreciated.
