SCAP 2018

2018 Singapore Conference on Applied Psychology (SCAP 2018), organized by East Asia Research and supported by Singapore University of Technology and Design & University of Derby, will be held in the cosmopolitan city of Singapore. We invite researchers & practitioners from all fields of psychology research & practice to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Applied Psychology.

You are invited to attend and participate in this annual international conference which offer numerous opportunities to share your ideas, applications experiences and to establish business or research relations for future collaboration.

Ailson J. De Moraes is a Human Behavioural Scientist, holds an fulltime academic position at Royal Holloway School of Management, University of London. Ailson teaches Clusters and Entrepreneurship and International Strategy. Ailson teaches in the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong, as well as giving key lectures and workshops in a wide range of countries including Brazil and Argentina, Ailson seeks to inspire leadership and creativity all around the globe through his speeches and interactive workshops. Assistant Professor,Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)

Dr Yow Wei Quin obtained her PhD (Psychology), MA (Psychology) and MSc (Statistics) from Stanford University, USA. She also received her MBA (Strategic Development) from Nanyang Technological University and BSocSc. (Honors in Psychology) from National University of Singapore. She has published in several peer-refereed international journals and book chapters and presented papers in various international conferences on the impact of bilingualism on socio-cognitive development and academic motivation in education.

Discipline Lead for Psychology; Assistant Head of Department of Life Sciences, University of Derby

Dr. Jane Montague is the Discipline Lead for Psychology within the Department of Life Sciences. Her teaching and research interests are based within critical approaches to social psychology, particularly in relation to gender, identity and the use of qualitative methods. She currently teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervise a number of PhD students. I am an active member of our psychology research team and engage externally with our accrediting body, the British Psychological Society, as the Conference Officer for the Social Psychology Section.Dr Tan Jing Hee

Dr Tan Jing Hee
Executive Director & Chairman of its Academic Board of East Asia Institute of Management

Dr. Tan Jing Hee is an Executive Director of East Asia Institute of Management as well as the Chairman of its Academic Board. He started work as a Retail Manager in a family business dealing with pharmaceutical products, toiletries and film development and processing. Dr Tan went on to become Senior Science Master of a government secondary school. After five years, he re-joined the private sector as a Merchandising Manager of Robinsons Departmental Store, with responsibilities over 6 departments in Menswear Division. In 1973, he joined the Singapore Institute of Management, initially as Information, Publications and Research officer before moving into management development responsibilities. During his 25 years stay in the institute, he helped to build it into the premier HRD organisation in the region. While in SIM, Dr Tan was also involved in establishing enterprise-wide MBO systems in six medium and large organisations in Singapore. In 1987, he co-edited a book on Developing Managers In Asia, published by Addison-Wesley. Dr Tan was the Chief Operating Officer of SIM before leaving it to pursue other interests. In 1994, he wrote doctoral thesis on Developing A Factor Model of Management Work in Singapore, for which he was awarded his Ph.D from Henley Mangement College/Brunel University.
