Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Are you affected by cancer? Do you like music? Well, Tenovus Cancer Care are offering you the chance to come along to one of their choir rehearsals in London to have a go at some singing as part of London Creativity & Wellbeing Week 2017! No musical experience is required and it is completely FREE. All are welcome – patients, staff, carers, bereaved and relatives.

We have 19 choirs for those affected by cancer across the UK, and our choirs in England also form part of an exciting research project led by the Centre for Performance Science, a partnership between the Royal College of Music and Imperial College London. We are exploring whether singing can affect wellbeing, quality of life and social support. Singing has the power to unite people, improve wellbeing, and just make you happier. By taking part, you can also help us research the amazing benefits of singing.
