Sing It Romanes: Fundraising Concert
The Romani Media Initiative Proudly Presents
A unique musical event to benefit the Arête Youth Foundation (areteyouth.org) and the USHMM (ushmm.org). A dais of talented musicians and performers will tell the epic story of Romani history, from their first arrival in Europe to their ongoing struggle for inclusion. The night promises to be a dynamic celebration of Romani culture and arts throughout history and a source of Roma pride.

Sing It Romanes will take you on a musical journey "GYPSY STYLE!" - George Eli, Romani Filmmaker
Experience live on stage the compelling story of the Romani people as they faced persecution. See how the music and culture helped them rise above oppression. Come hear the music of survival and help celebrate one thousand years of music, culture and dance.
Proceeds will benefit the Arête Youth Foundation & The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
All tickets will include an open bar, access to the "Arête Youth" interactive photography exhibit, as well as seats for the concert. VIP seats will include a cocktail reception, featuring samples of traditional Romani cuisine, a media gift bag (valued at $50), private showing of the "Arête Youth" photography exhibit presented by Chad Wyatt Evans with narratives by Mary Evelyn Porter, and very special celebrity award ceremony.
Open Bar for non-VIP guests will run for the hour before the show, and again at intermission. VIP guests will have unlimited access to the open bar.
Sing it Romanes will take the audience on a musical journey through the history of the Romani people, depicting Romani struggles in the face of persecution and hardship and celebrating, their culture, accomplishments and perseverance. Musical performances will be dramatically woven together, with actors depicting scenes of Romani history in between these musical acts.

This event features three distinct ticket types each with different pricing. Please read descriptions carefully.
Concert seating (Section A and B):
Regular concert seating is divided into “Section A” and “Section B”. Section A seats are located closer to the stage and are priced accordingly. Both tickets feature access to the open bar area for pre show gathering, intermission, photography exhibit and closing reception.
The VIP ticket experience features a private cocktail hour with offerings of tradional Romani cuisine, as well as open bar throughout the night, and reserved Section A seats for the concert. In addition the VIP dinner will feature a celebrity awards ceremony honoring fashion icon Michael Costello with the "Baxt" Award. The "Amaro" Award will be presented to acclaimed documentary filmmaker Jasmine Dellal, who will be sticking around for a meet and greet. VIP guests will also be the first to see the "Arête Youth" photography series, to be displayed VIP gallery.
(Please note our ticketing map allows VIP donors to reserve concert seating only. Dinner seats are first come first serve).
