SIN LUZ ( WITHOUT LIGHT ) JARETT RUDAR
Imagine waking to total darkness. Now Imagine being an artist and your world is light and color and there is no light to see. You are in a blind forest struggling to find the moon or some sort of light source. It never comes. The next day is total darkness again for you. What do you do? Well for Jarett Rudar that life is a reality and no dream. Jarett is blind...yes that is right folks. He is a blind artist. He was in a major car accident that left him unable to walk and see in March 2016. Doctors said he would never walk. Now with the use of a cane he can walk although very painful. Rudar can also see some light so his eyes are healing. Through the darkness he paints with tape and tacks for placement of color. He uses his mind's eye to conjure up what he thinks the painting will look like when he is done. He marks on the tube of paint with a glue gun to raise the letters Red, Blue, etc.. and feels the color. He then paints what he believes will be the end result and remembers when he wasn't blind how color blends. He paints better than some artists who can see. Jarett is an inspiration to all mankind and teaches us to never give up despite what life has dealt us.
