Simulation is integral to clinical education for all health professionals and is offered in many different formats – high fidelity, low tech, virtual realities, simulated patients and so on. Simulation is often introduced opportunely and the rationale for one form of simulation rather than another is not always clear. Currently, there is limited evidence base for its effectiveness.
This workshop is for all those interested in developing evaluation and research around simulation. The purposes of the workshop are:
- is to consider the theoretical bases for understanding simulation and learning
- to exchange information about current activity in FMH
- to explore possible research projects
- to develop a FMH research and evaluation network
