A "Simply Women on Purpose" retreat highlighting the importance and value of women working collaboratively to create positive change within themselves, community and society.

Areas for discussion will include:

The call to action, what this means and how this translates into everyday life

Living an authentic life and creating meaning in the work women do

The benefits of purpose and meaning for wellbeing

The role of women in community and society

Positive Psychology for People and Planet

The retreat will have three themes: CONNECT, CREATE, COLLABORATE and these will be explored through a mixture of presentations, interactive workshops, networking and creativity.

CONNECT with one another to tap into your true power

CREATE partnerships to scale change locally and create positive

COLLABORATE with other brilliant women who have bold ideas

Through authentic dialogue and meaningful interaction with women who have forged their own paths of change, women will leave with an expanded sense of possibility. Providing women with a weekend to nourish themselves, their career, and their community and learn how to become their own change maker.

“Simply Women on Purpose” is designed to provide women with the tools, knowledge, and network to develop ideas for positive change and provide practical tools for transformation .

This retreat offers presentations, experiential workshops and resources including:

  • Using Positive Psychology for Purpose - a range of experiential workshops looking at flow, flourishing, and strengths and how these can be developed in helping to create a purpose driven life

  • Purpose & Meaning - workshops, tools and exercises to help in finding and following a path with purpose

  • Mindfulness & Meditation - the benefits of living a more mindful life, meditation techniques and practices, and how this can help us find and follow our path

  • Yoga for Flow - gentle yoga sessions to facilitate both the opening and grounding of participants and for supporting deeper connection on all levels

  • Nature as a Teacher - guided outdoor sessions helping us to connect with nature and use nature as a teacher, to enhance our deeper connection and to help improve our wellbeing

  • Creativity and connection - experiential workshops using creativity as a tool to tap into ideas and as a tool for expressing these in visual forms

  • Natural Health & Wellbeing for Women - sessions looking at how we can gently support our health and wellbeing by living more in tune with natural rhythms thus helping our inner and outer worlds to work more in harmony

The retreat will be structured to ensure that all participants enjoy a mixture of experiential workshops, delivered by a variety of women who are all experts in their own fields, alongside a complementary amount of unstructured free time allowing learning and experiences to embed, enabling women to re-connect with themselves and their inner wisdom.

This retreat will be hosted on the beatiful Dartington Estate and as well as a full weekend with expert facilitators and practitioners, you will also enjoy:

  • 2 nights accommodation in single bedrooms (not en-suite but plenty of bathrooms) in student accommodation onsite which enjoys panoramic views of the Dartington Estate. Each room has a bed, work desk and desk-lamp, a chair, wardrobe and bedside table. There is a washbasin in each room, with communal toilets, showers and bath facilities on each floor of the accommodation block.

  • Full English Breakfast (or an alternative of your choice) o both Saturday and Sunday morning serviced in the award winning White Hart, situation at the heart of the Dartington Hall Trust's 1200 acre estate.

  • A beautiful Conference Room, The Upper Gatehouse, for our exclusive use all day and evening on Saturday and all day on Sunday

  • Mid morning tea, coffee and biscuits on both Saturday and Sunday

  • Afternoon tea, coffee with mini scones, cream and jam on both Saturday and Sunday

  • Buffet lunch on both Saturday and Sunday (private dining served in the Screens Dining Room)

  • Two Course Chef's Choice Dinner on Friday Evening & Saturday Evening (private dining served in the Screens Dining Room
