Simplify Your Busy Family Life: What's Really Behind Your Stress?
Overview
When you snap
You know that moment when you snap -- and immediately regret it?
When your child's face falls or your partner goes quiet, and you think,
"I didn't meant to say it like that."
“I hate that I yelled again.”
“I’m becoming the parent I swore I wouldn’t be.”
Your breaking point
That moment is not failure. It is your “breaking point.” That’s your body’s way of saying:
“Enough. Something deeper needs your attention. It’s time to do things differently.”
Stress isn’t the enemy – it’s communication.
Progression of the Stress Response
This "breaking point" happens when your body has too many distressing moments. Distress can add up to the point of being "too much" - when you are overwhelmed physically and emotionally. This is when the best "stress management" advice and techniques are needed. Techniques such as breathing, stretching, and taking a walk can be in the moment-life-changing. But if you don't address what's hidden behind your distress, the distress is likely to return. When your body is physically and emotionally ready, you can address the stressors: What can be prevented? What can be changed?
What’s really triggering your stress?
In this free interactive coaching talk, Parent Coach Jennifer Watanabe will help you identify what's fueling your distress and why. You need to understand what’s really triggering your stress because if you don’t understand what’s causing your stress in the first place, what overwhelms you, you won’t be able to prevent your stressors from overtaking your life.
This coaching event is for busy, stressed-out parents who
· Are tired of being told to “just relax” or to “breathe” without a plan to make life's circumstances better.
