Join Blue and Dusty at Kink HQ for this special edition, two-part class on Sunday JAN 13 and launch into your Shibari journey with technique, rope management, energetics and some super sexy ideas!

Part One 2-4pm

Getting Started with Shibari - In the first part of class we will get you started with some basic technique and knowledge of Japanese Rope Bondage. But that's not all! We will also move thru several exercises and options for play and energetics between partners.

No experience necessary for Part 1.

Part Two 5-7pm

Okay, we have the basics, now let's get down to business! In this class, Blue and Dusty will demonstrate several options for simple Shibari ties for sexytimes. Most of these ties require only one length rope, some basic knowledge of rope bondage, and a creative mindset!

If you have your own rope, bring it! You'll need 3-4 lengths of 6mm rope approx. 8m long. Jute or hemp preferred, but bring what you have! There will be loaner rope available for the class, and for sale before & after the class as well.

Signing up solo is totally fine; please come open-minded to potentially work with anyone who may also have signed up solo, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Attendees also have the option to tie themselves if they so choose, though there will be some patterns in part 2 that cannot be self-tied. You can observe and take notes on those for later!

Presenter Bio:
Blue has been teaching and performing Shibari (Japanese Rope Bondage) in San Francisco, and across the U.S., since 2012. In June 2017, she opened VoxBody Studio, the Bay Area's first rope-dedicated venue. Blue is part of an active rope community in the Bay Area, teaching classes and hosting events regularly, and running a suspension performance booth at Folsom Street Fair since 2014, and performing at events such as Twisted Windows, What the Festival, and Vau de Vire Society productions.

She is an enthusiastic sWitch, and launched a Women Tying Women/ENTWINE series and RopeCoven to provide safe containers for female-identified and gender NB rope lovers to explore this intimate and vulnerable practice.
