Join Chef Helga Alessio as she demonstrates the beauty, nutrition & the flavor of "scrap" ingredients!

About this Event

Set aside 2 1/2 hours to prepare delicious food from "ugly" vegetables or fruit on the brink of certain demise. Learn with a culinary chef how to minimize waste in your kitchen. The pulp from freshly juiced carrots and beets will serve as the base for tasty veggie-burgers. Whipping up a dip will turn food scraps into flavorful bites instead of compost. Doomed pears and apples will turn into an autumn crisp in no time. We will have a small feast together. All vegetarian!

Depending on attendants participation and speed, the class will prepare up to five dishes.
