Haven't sewn since you were in school or have never sewn before? Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in this beginner sewing workshop. Starting with the basics you will make a poncho.

Classes have limited space and may fill up if you delay. If your class is full, ask to be put on a waiting list. Waitlisted students will be notified of any vacancies. Classes will be added based on demand.

What you'll learn in this sewing workshop:
This is the perfect workshop for all you super busy people who've always wanted to learn to sew, but just can't find the time for a long class. Or, for those who are brand new to sewing on a machine. Or, for those who just need a confidence-building, hand-holding refresher.

This project-based, one-time two-hour workshop you will learn how to threading a machine, load a bobbin and sew straight or curved seams, in no time. You'll receive step-by-step instructions to assemble your project.

SKILLS & TECHNIQUES
Sewing-machine basics
Stitches: Regular stitch, Zig Zag stitch, Back stitch, Topstitch
Inserting an elastic or drawstring

FABRIC & SUPPLIES
Students should​ bring fabric for a customized poncho (bring 1.5 yard). All other equipment and sewing supplies are available for use.
