Description

Celebrating Innovation in Minnesota

SIM Talks is a celebration and learning event for statewide participants in the State Innovation Model (SIM) grant. 10 selected speakers will each give a unique 5-minute presentation on best practices, lessons learned, and areas of sustainability. Following the talks, an Action Café discussion will take place so attendees can address issues most important to them.

The event will be held in the stunning McNamara Alumni Center on the U of M campus in Minneapolis. There will be beverages available, as well as food for purchase from local Twin Cities food trucks.

The event will be streamed live on the internet, and the 5-minute talks will be recorded.

Lodging: If you're attending SIM Talks from out of town, we recomend The Commons Hotel in Minneapolis. The hotel connects directly to the McNamara Alumni Center, so you can get to the event without going outside or having to find parking.

Please note: Because this event involves live speakers giving engaging talks in a a relatively intimate setting, the SIM Talks team would like to encourage you to leave your laptop at home and allow yourself to fully participate in the day's activities.
