Description

Errol Louis, who reports on the local scene for NY1 and is a political analyst on the national scene for CNN, will be our next exciting guest speaker on Wednesday, April 19. And once again we expect a sellout crowd.

Louis is the host of the “Road to City Hall,” New York City’s preeminent political news and opinion program that airs weeknights on NY1, the city’s all-news cable channel. His show features in-depth reporting and interviews with political newsmakers, and his guests have included former mayor Michael Bloomberg; Governor Andrew Cuomo; former governors David Paterson, Eliot Spitzer and George Pataki; Ralph Nader and Howard Dean, as well as authors and filmmakers such as Ken Burns and Robert Caro, He joined NY1 in 2010.

Since 2008, he has been a contributor and political analyst for CNN.

Previously, Louis served as a columnist and editorial board member at The Daily News of New York and was a talk show host on WWRL radio. And in 2010, the Village Voice named him the city’s best newspaper columnist and radio show host.

Besides his TV work now, Louis is the director of the Urban Reporting program at the City University of New York's Graduate School of Journalism. He has taught courses at the Pratt Institute, Hunter College, Long Island University and New York University.
