Silicon Valley Progressive Faith Community Live!
San Jose, CA
No matter where you have been or where you are going, you are welcome to join us for our first ever celebrations! We are progressive Christians, agnostics, spiritual independents and other people of conscience who want to live with purpose and joy in a community rooted in love.
The entrance to the Theater is found off of San Pedro Street tucked into a beautiful area behind Peggy Sue's restaurant. The gate opens out into the parking lot (not where parking is validated). Parking can be validated if you use the garage on San Pedro and Market. http://sjdowntownparking.com/parking-maps/market-san-pedro-square-garage
The Theater is a 15-20 minute walk from the San Jose Diridon Cal Train station. Here is the link to plan your trip to the station. http://www.caltrain.com/schedules/tripplanners.html
You are invited to gather before the service to hang out in the courtyard or around the bar in the theater.
Those with unique mobility needs are invited to join us for an elevator ride. You are welcome to wear whatever makes your heart sing as long as your heart sings clothed!
The Thursday service will feel more like a live music event as the bar will be open toward the end. You are invited to sing, dance, open, deepen, engage and enjoy! Come for snacks, conversation and hanging out with your new friends. Join us!
The Sunday service will be equally inspiring and also designed to include children. We will have food, drinks, a story for all ages, craft activities and of course music! Everyone welcome! No previous spiritual or religous experience required. Come as you are.
Love yourself. Connect with Spirit. Transform the world.

Nicole Lamarche is a United Church of Christ minister who believes that the public expression of Christianity has distorted the radically inclusive message of the Gospel. She is an advocate for marriage equality, supporting veterans and was a member of the Interfaith Tent at Occupy Oakland. Nicole has appeared on CBS’s The Early Show, CNN’s Larry King Live and has been a featured writer on matters of faith, life and politics and the author of an essay in, Split Ticket: Independent Faith in a Time of Partisan Politics. She earned a BA from the University of Arizona and a M.Div. and MA from the Pacific School of Religion at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. In 2003, she won the title of Miss California and went on to earn Fourth Runner-up at Miss America. Nicole was ordained in 2005 and began serving as a Lilly Endowed Pastoral Resident at Wellesley Congregational Church. In the summer of 2007 she started as pastor of Cotuit Federated Church on Cape Cod, where she served for three years. She left in October of 2010 to follow the call to start a new church in Northern California. Since that time Nicole and Jeremy had a daughter Eliza (now 2) and have fallen in love with the greater San Jose area. After years of research, study, fundraising, prayer and hard work, the vision of a radically inclusive, deeply spiritual, progressive church is finally coming alive! In March 2013 Silicon Valley Progressive Faith Community introduced itself to the South Bay with a different kind of Easter egg hunt focused on sharing, generosity and equality, where hundreds and hundreds were touched with our message of extravagant welcome! This new kind of start-up seeks to disrupt the idea of Church, building a diverse community of people, inspired by the prophetic teachings of Jesus and pointing beyond them. We are creating a movement of cultivating love. To learn more, check out www.siliconvalleyprogressivefaith.org
