What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
You can reach the plant by bus, bike or car. The SamTrans Route 260 stops within a half mile of the plant. There are bike lanes and paths to the plant and plenty of parking available bicycles and for vehicles.
Is there a dress code for the tour?
SVCW is an industrial plant, like a factory. Please be aware when you come on a tour you will be required to wear a hard hat and safety glasses. There are many safety hazards such as slip trip and fall, micro-organisms, heavy equipment, and stairs. There is no smoking, no horseplay, no climbing. Participants should be aware and mindful that there are live micro-organisms at the plant and they should not touch things in the lab or around the plant and keep hands away from mouth and face. People with long hair may want to pull it back.
All participants should wear:
Closed toed shoes (be aware you may walk in wet areas)
No loose fitting clothing that might catch on handrails or other obstacles
