Silicon Catalyst, the startup incubator and accelerator for semiconductor solutions is proud to present Dave Bursky of Chip Design Magazine for our next seminar on technical writing for startups.
When writing blogs, articles or other documents, understanding the potential readers and their reading skills can be a challenge. We live in a multinational environment with readers from Asia, Europe, South America, and the U.S. sitting side-by-side and trying to read what you have written. This mix of cultures and native languages puts the onus on the writers to use language that is clear, concise, and easy to understand. This is especially true for technical writing when trying to convey the operation of a circuit or the derivation of an algorithm.
This short seminar goes through several facits of article creation, from initial concepts, structure and flow, and some grammatical aspects such as punctuation, tenses, use of pronouns, and extraneous verbage.
