"Silent Witnesses" - Children Who Survived the Holocaust
Event Information
Description
Silent Witnesses is an award-winning solo play, performed and written by Los Angeles artist, Stephanie Satie. Based upon her interviews and conversations with child survivors of the Holocaust, she tells their stories. Ripped from everything they knew and silently bearing witness to the atrocities, these children grew up in the shadows …. confused, terrified, displaced, even rejected by their own so they would have a chance to survive. Expected to just quietly assimilate and not dwell on their past, these women remained silent for years. Now, they begin to tell their stories for the first time.
Appropriate for students in middle school and above. Seating is first come/first served.
