★About the band
Silent Siren, a very popular Japanese girl-band, is coming to San Francisco on their first world tour!! They will hold concerts in two cities in the U.S., LA and SF. Do not miss their live performance!!
Silent Siren is a 4-piece all-female band formed by Suu (Sumire Yoshida as Vo & Gt.), Hinanchu (Hinako Umemura on Dr.), Ainyan (Aina Yamauchi on Ba.), and Yukarun (Yukako Kurosaka on Key.). They all have backgrounds as reader models for major magazines, though their passion towards their music is authentic. Their first single, “SWEET POP!” was released on November 2012 and since then, they have risen in popularity amongst Harajuku high schoolers, whom endearingly call them “Sai Sai” for short.
In 2014, they took their first step towards international stardom by holding their first overseas concert in Hong Kong. In the following year, they went on tour across Asia, with their 3rd album “SILENT SIREN.” They performed 20 successful shows at over 16 locations (including Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc) during the tour. In addition, they performed solo concerts in Indonesia and Jakarta.
They are also actively performing in Japan, joining major music festivals such as ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2015, SUMMER SONIC 2015 OSAKA, and NAON NO YAON ~SUMMER~, and even as far as creating their own music event called SAI SAI FESTIVAL. Furthermore, they made history as being the first all-female band to perform a solo concert at Nippon Budokan, successfully ending with 9,000 fans’ cheers. Moreover, all 12 of their singles and albums after their 3rd album, “BIISAN” (released in 2013), have been ranked in the Top 10 on the Oricon music charts.
Global attention towards this band has shown remarkable growth in the past few years, as evidenced by being regarded as the most anticipated all-female band in the Japanese music industry.
