Yes, it is a free event. To receive a headset we will ask for an ID to hold until you return the headset(s).

How does registration work?

We hope you will register through Eventbrite and we will hold a headset for the first 150 people registered until 5:10 p.m. At that time we will open it up to first come, first served. We will have an additional 50 headsets for walk-in participants on a first come, first served basis.

How does a silent disco work?

You will be dancing to music heard through headphones instead of speakers. You will borrow a wireless headset with three channels. There will be three live DJs, one on each channel, and you can switch between them. An indicator light on your headset will show which channel you are listening to.

What makes it silent?

There are no speakers. You must use the headsets provided to participate. Each DJ will have a transmitter that will transmit the music to the wireless headset you borrow. Those around you cannot hear what you are listening to but they can tell which channel you are on by a headset indicator light.

What makes it a disco?

There will be three DJs and you are expected to DANCE! Each DJ will be playing different music. Choose your favorite and move to the beat. You can switch between DJ channels.
