Description

Please join us for a series of short films that will explore our Sikh identity and heritage. We will also be celebrating Bhagat Singh Thind's 100th anniversary of service in the US Army.

Children 10 and up are welcome to attend with their parent or guardian. For children ages 6-10, we will have a room on site where they will be entertained by our staff.

Tickets: $20 for early bird pricing or $30 at the door.

Short Films for Cluster A:

1) She who questions - An emotional journey into the life of Trishna Kaur Singh and her advocacy work for Scottish Sikh women and girls. Directed by Rachel Lattin & Paloma Young.

2) Pagg - A Sikh American makes a tragic and heart breaking decision in response to a hate crime on the 4th of July. Directed by Nardeep Khurmi. Awarded best short film of the Breckendridge Festival of Film.

3) Prisoner's Song - A film about a WWI Sikh POW. Directed by Michael Singh.

4) Lions of London - A documentary focusing on the contributions of Sikhs soldiers in the both World Wars. Directed by Carly Berryhill & Samantha Andre.

5) Doctor Ji - A documentary celebrating the life of Bhagat Singh Thind, one of the first Sikhs to serve in the U.S. Army.

6) All Quiet on the Home Front - A WW1 Asian US soldier and his Irish lawyer fight a law that revoked citizenship of Asians in 1918. Directed by Harjus Singh.
