On occasion, land trusts encounter land projects that include historic buildings, which raises questions about whether to pursue the project, and if so, what to do with the buildings. Historic buildings can be costly in terms of repairs, upkeep and liability. At this talk, we will learn why it is important to consider saving these historic buildings and how to approach projects of this kind; where are the Cape’s historic buildings; successful examples of preservation and conservation working together; tools and assistance; and things to remember when projects come to land trusts' attention.
