Sigma Kappa Color Run
Sun, April 23, 2017, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
Come join Sigma Kappa for our first 5K Color Run. The 5K course will feature numerous color stations which provides an environment for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Participation is for registered guests only. This is a fun race so there are no winners or loser and the proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the Sigma Kappa Foundation, so come join us to get blasted with color!
The Color Run will be around NIU's campus with the start and finish line at Northern View Community where the race is held and parking will be at the Convocation Center, so look out for registration and parking signs! Check-in will be at 8AM before the run where you can grab your t-shirt and wristband. Participants must be wearing a wristband to be able to participate in the race.
NIU Police Department will be there providing safety throughout the race.
The line-up will start at 8:45AM with the walkers being released 1st so everyone can finish the race approximately around the same time. The 5K starts at 9AM and runners will be released to run at 9:15AM. We want everyone to be done around the same time, so by having these specific times in mind it will make the run less stressful for everyone.
Please stick around and participate in the color toss as participants finish up. We would like for as many of you that can stick around to do a final toss between 11-11:30 to ensure everyone gets to experience this wonderful experience!
To pick up your color packet for the color toss, you will turn in your bracelet to the volunteers in yellow in exchange for your color toss packet. One packet per wristband turned in. NO EXCEPTIONS!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TEAMS: PICK A CAPTAIN, CHOOSE A NAME AND PASSWORD, THEN REGISTER UNDER TEAM NAME. CAPTAINS SHOULD REGISTER THE TEAM NAME AND PASSWORD 1ST, THEN HAVE OTHERS TYPE IN THE INFORMATION TO REGISTER AND BE ADDED TO THE TEAM.
