Friends Who Are Going
Event description

After you have finished your Thanksgiving Dinner join us for this chance to fellowship. The goal of all of our tours is fellowship through travel.

November 23 - Enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family and then join likeminded Christians in the late afternoon for a unique theater and shopping trip to Lancaster Pa. You will arrive in Lancaster late in the evening where your home for the next three nights will be the Hotel Lancaster.

November 24 - For those that are early risers the central market only steps away. The country's oldest farmers' market, in the heart of Amish country, occupies a beautiful 120-year-old red brick building chock-full of local character. Regional food specialties include Pennsylvania Dutch sausage and scrapple. You will also find preserves, including chowchow (pickled vegetables in a spicy mustard sauce), and bread and butter pickles. Freshly baked bread, cheeses, and local delicacies also await you. The market opens at 6 am on Fridays. For those that choose to sleep in a continental breakfast awaits you. At 10 am we depart for the Sight and Sound Theater for a performance of the “Miracle of Christmas.” a touching story of kings, angels and a simple, faithful couple used by God. Take a break for lunch and a bit of shopping at the Kitchen Kettle complex. See Jams and jellies being made, sample products, and grab a bite to eat. In the afternoon, we will visit QVC and see what it takes to get products on the air. After the studio tour shop the retail store for your Christmas gifts. Try on the jewelry shown on air. The same products and pricing you see on air are available in the retail store without the shipping costs. This evening you will enjoy the classic White Christmas at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater. Based on the beloved movie, veterans Bob and Phil are a successful song and dance team when they meet a sister duo and follow them to an inn in Vermont. They discover it's owned by their old General who fell on hard times, so they decide to put on a show to save the inn and their General's future. The Irving Berlin score features Blue Skies, Sisters, Count Your Blessings, and the favorite White Christmas. Breakfast and Dinner

November 25 The day begins with a continental breakfast at the hotel. A local guide will join you to explore the Amish Farmlands and specialty stores producing hand crafted unique items. Learn the History of the Amish from our Guide who will take us to some of the best local shops where you can purchase handmade gifts for those on your Christmas lists. We will visit Quilt Shops, Woodworking Shops, Craft Shops and even what the locals like to call the Amish Wal-Mart. Tonight we have a special treat with dinner at an Amish farm. See how the Amish truly live and enjoy a home-cooked dinner with an Amish family. After dinner, we may have time to visit the QVC outlet store where products that have been returned or refurbished are sold at discount rates. Breakfast and Dinner
