About this Event

In the first event of the new academic year we will hear from social media expert Liam Furby, whose current role is at Scottish charity, Staf. In his first year he has doubled their audience on social media, delivered sell-out conferences, their first-ever podcast series and bold new branding around their values. Previously Liam worked in Scottish politics where he learned how small changes to language can make a big difference to a message and its impact. His work there also introduced him to key US contacts, including Bernie Sanders’ digital lead and President Obama’s first official videographer.

Liam will share his top tips and we will have an interactive workshop where everyone can share ideas.

Drinks and a bite to eat will follow, finishing up at 7pm.

SIE will reimburse reasonable expenses for the attendees travelling from outside Edinburgh. For more information, please contact r.arnaudova@sie.ac.uk
