This one-day, fast-paced emergency and critical care review seminar is for emergency nurses,critical care nurses, transport teams, and respiratory therapists who provide urgent and emergent care to pediatric patients and their families. Seminar Speaker 


Scott DeBoer RN, MSN, CPEN, CEN, CCRN, CFRN, is an internationally recognized pediatric emergency nurse expert.  Scott has been presenting to tens of thousands of nurse, medics and RTs around the world for over 25 years.  In addition to his extensive training in emergency, critical care, and flight nursing. Scott has co-authored over 100 medical articles for nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists, written 7 emergency medical books including the very first CPEN Review book in 2010.  His "Putting It All Together" CPEN Review book is now in its 3rd edition and includes over 1000 emergency review questions. Scott created this 1-day, highly interactive emergency and critical care review seminar for both intermediate and advanced practitioners alike. Designed to help those wanting to improve their knowledge of peds as well as help individuals wanting to PASS the CPEN Exam. Scott's relaxed teaching style, along with his personal experiences, and use of humor will have attendees laughing as they learn.

We do however, also recommend a few other resources to help you prepare to sit for the CPEN Exam.

Credit Hours

Credits have been approved through the State of California Board of Nursing, CEP13532. Credits have been approved for respiratory therapists by the AARC and is also approved for paramedics by Illinois Departments of EMS. 
*Certificates will be distributed with continuing education credit hours (hour for hour) at the end of the seminar. 


Refunds and Substitutions 
A refund may be issued up to 7 days before a seminar. After that time, if you are unable to attend the seminar you may send a replacement at no additional charge.
 *Refunds will NOT be issued for NO SHOWS.

If I am coming from out of town what do you suggest?
There are NO rooms being held for this event.

Will coffee or refreshments be offered?

Yes! St. Vincent's is including lunch with your registration

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? 
Yes, please bring your phone/email copy or printed ticket if possible. This will make the check-in process go quickly. If you forget a copy.... Do Not Stress Out!  We will have you on the list. :)  

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
If you are coming as a substitution, then it will not matter that your name is not printed on the ticket. If your hospital paid for your ticket and it has a different name, then just notify the registration person in the morning at the check-in table.
