Event Details

Are you looking for ways to help your students become more engaged with your course content so that they can complete assignments and other activities successfully? Would you like to provide students with tools they can use to stay focused even if they have to miss a class? Canvas and the instructional concept of scaffolding can help you build a structure that helps your students learn and develop.

In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Preston Feden (Education) will introduce the concept of scaffolding and the six-step approach for applying it in any course. Then, Dr. Patricia Bicknell (Nursing) will demonstrate how she uses Canvas Pages to provide support to her learners. Finally, Sherri Place (Instructional Design) will lead you through activities that will allow you to build scaffolding right into your Canvas courses.
