We have already started. We are collecting clothes and other items.
We are building and getting ready for the trip of a lifetime and reaching out to help others.
This event is geared towards one, overarching goal: sending support to Haiti, a land ravaged by a hurricane and earthquake that has left hundreds of thousands of people without homes and has taken the lives of so many.
We are using our humble little warehouse to put together a fabulous dinner by local chefs so that we can send help to those in need.
We are going to talk about how we can help to replace shacks and scrounged shanties with container homes that are much more durable and sustainable during the harsh winds and earthquakes.
We are going to talk about how to help women in need struggling for work and education.
This is a mission of the utmost importance and taking an evening to eat, drink and discuss changes in the world will do some people miles away, a world of good.
Haiti 1to3 is a program making a strong pledge that while we are doing things here, in the US, we are also going to be doing things where we are needed. When we build 3 beehives, we will be able to give one to Haiti and so on. But above all, we pledge that 75% of the proceeds from these events will go directly to the project and people in need.
