Shoulder injuries are by far the most common injury seen in CrossFit gyms. Shoulder injuries can be debilitating and generally require a very long recovery period - often resulting in the loss of a member and decreased revenue. Continuing to train through pain only further exacerbates the injury, leading to poor biomechanics and altered motor firing patterns which can lead to labral tears, rotator cuff tears, thoracic outlet syndrome, and tendonopathies (just to name a few)
The truth is, many of these injuries are preventable so long as you are able to correctly and efficiently address the issue before it even happens.
In this workshop your coaches will learn how to better understand and assess your members & athletes for risk of shoulder injury in order to more effectively address stability and mobility issues. You will also learn how to assess new members for risk of injury, progress athletes through increasingly complex lifts, kinesio tape injured shoulders, and much more.
The truth is, the quicker you are able to identify a problem and address it correctly, the better (obviously right?). So do you and your members a favor and enhance your understanding of this complex joint!
