San Diego is home to over 11,000 nonprofits. So the question isn't can you start a nonprofit, but should you? This three-part, online series via Zoom offers to help individuals and businesses consider alternative methods for addressing and solving social challenges:

• Part 1 (November 17) focuses on root-cause analysis and problem solving (registration link)
• Part 2 (December 1) looks at alternative approaches to starting a nonprofit (registration link); and
• Part 3 (December 15) concludes with to how to run a nonprofit like a business (registration link).

What you'll learn and discuss on December 15 in Should You Start a Nonprofit? Part 3—Running a Nonprofit Like a Business:

• Learn the skills to run a nonprofit like a business (because in California it *is* a business!)
• Understand state and federal compliance requirements by using compliance checklists

Representatives from San Diego County organizations offering services to high-risk/high-need populations are especially encouraged to attend.
