Event description
When your space is no longer the “it” market, what are you going to do?

About this Event

You’re building an awesome product, or perhaps you have a great idea you haven’t broken ground on yet. Suddenly, the market shifts. The industry you were so excited about becoming a part of is no longer “popular.”

At a startup, you’re already facing the challenge of building a product that attracts customers. When you’re building a product in an emerging industry, you’re also learning to navigate an industry that is constantly shifting and finding its footing in the world. When this happens, it can be hard to get investors, find your target audience, and to make decisions.

Emerging industries don’t always take off as quickly as we think they will. Or, they hit a period of market disillusionment where many investors, startups, and potential customers turn away from a promising technology. This could be said for blockchain, quantum computing, augmented reality, and cleantech.

So what can entrepreneurs do when this happens? During this panel, we’ll hear a range of perspectives on when it’s time to double-down and when it’s time to pivot away.

When your space is no longer the “it” market, what are you going to do? Join us and find out!
