Description
We want to help prepare churches and organizations to send teams that will be remembered for assisting long term missionaries, equipping local churches, and expanding the kingdom of God through strategic planning, preparation, and implementation. Our plenary speakers include:
Brian Heerwagen – President, Standards of Excellence in Short Term Missions (SOE); CEO of Delta Ministries; Author of The Next Mile
Annette and Mike Hammond – Former missionaries to a restricted access nation in North Africa; missions pastors at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas, Washington
Brian Stark – Pastor of Community and Outreach at South Hills Church in Kennewick, Washington
Workshops this year will focus on the seven standards of excellence that SOE has helped foster and implement with churches and missions agencies. Some of this year's workshops include:
- Creating empowering long-term partnerships
- Funding short-term missions
- Risk assessment
- Leadership selection
- Missions administration
- Appropriate training
- Cultural considerations
- Panel discussion on short-term missions
- And many more
