Event description
"Shooting Heroin" in Sanford Florida with Cast & Director in Attendance!

About this Event

The Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford Florida will be hosting a screening of "Shooting Heroin" on Friday, November 23 at 7:00pm. Some of the cast and crew will be in attendance including Rachel Hendrix (October Baby), Jackqueline Siegal (Queen of Versailles) and Amber Likes (Disney Social Influencer). The director will be in attendance and available for a Q&A. Director & Writer Spencer T Folmar (native of Central Florida, Generational Sins).

"Shooting Heroin" is a narrative feature film on the opioid epidemic in rural America. Inspired by true events this fictional story is about a small town that comes together to fight back against the spread of drugs... by whatever means necessary. This movie stars Sherilyn Fenn, Alan Powell, Cathy Moriarty, Nicholas Turturro, Garry Pastore, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Rachel Hendrix, Brian O'Halloran and more.

Filmed in Central Pennsylvania in the Fall of 2018, it takes place in the fictional town of "Whispering Pines," which could be any heartland town that has been devastated by the opioid epidemic. Even though this story is a fictionalized tale of revenge, grace, and justice... it is a story that many people unfortunately can relate to.
