A weekend retreat learning tools to not only survive but thrive during the winter months.

About this Event

Join us for this weekend retreat filled with warmth, light, softness, self-care, and community. Many are challenged by the darkness of the season - lack of sunlight, early nights, cold days, down moods and isolation. This workshop, led by our medical, nutrition, movement, and coaching experts, is designed for you to embrace and explore your physical, emotional and relational needs during this challenging time of year. Take an introspective look into your health and well-being, find opportunity for connection and self-care and embrace the light within.

What you can look forward to:

FRIDAY 6-8PM

We begin Friday evening with candles, cozy blankets, aromatherapy and warm tea as we gather to embrace a moment of self care and pure relaxation featuring guided journaling and Yoga Nidra practice.

SATURDAY 8AM-4PM

On Saturday, we will continue with the theme of hygge (hyoo·guh) - a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.

Candles, warm drinks, cozy blankets, good food and good conversation will surround you all day long. Wear your most comfortable clothes and bring your favorite journal and an open mind as you are guided by Dr. Jennifer Lyon, Dr. Jill Butryn, Registered Dietitian Carol Bell, Movement Coach Erin Goldman, and our Health Coach in this deep dive of understanding your relational, physical, and emotional needs during these dark months.

SUNDAY 8-10AM

We will round out your retreat with a steady, uplifting yoga practice that will offer you the opportunity to begin to embody the qualities that you want to bring to your winter experience.  Special closing ceremony of reflection.

Your retreat weekend will include the following topics:

  • Physical and Emotional Health: SAD, supplements, achieving optimal health
  • Body Nourishment: Getting the right nutrients and feeding your soul without sacrificing your waistline
  • Guided journey to mindfulness through meditation
  • Creating and sustaining meaningful, authentic, and engaging relationships.
  • Look forward to additional sensory-based movement, bodywork, and healing treatments.
  • Nourishing food and beverages will be provided throughout, with breakfast and lunch served on Saturday.

You will leave the weekend with tools to not only survive but thrive during the winter months, an insight into your own personal needs, guides for self-care, a sense of community, and a relaxed state of mind. This educational, exploratory, and relaxing event is a must for those who struggle to see the light in these dark months.
