Don't let skipping gears and a dropped chain derail you - the Austin Yellow Bike Project can teach you how to keep your drivetrain silently spinning as you pedal along! This survey course will teach you the basics of maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing common issues with your bicycle's drivetrain. And all of our bicycle mechanics classes end with a guided experience working on your own bike!

NEW! Complete five Yellow Bike adult education courses and come build a bicycle out of donated frames and parts at Austin's Yellow Bike Project! Ask your instructors for more information and a card to track your progress.

  • Basic drivetrain maintenance
  • How to troubleshoot and repair common shifting problems
  • Shifter & derailleur tune-ups
