A Learning Experience for Lay Leadership Teams, Clergy, and Church Staffs
The SHIFT Learning Experience prompts church leaders to explore three major 21st Century movements in congregations:
- membership culture to discipleship culture
- consumer church to sacred partnering
- attractional church to missional church
Christians are aware that life around us, in our communities and especially in our churches, is not what it once was. We can now describe major responses, healthy, proactive, faithful, courageous responses, all of which are encouraging for God's church.
Each segment of SHIFT includes opportunity for learning, personal reflection, and dialogue. SHIFT is an interactional learning experience consisting of presentation, videos, individual reflection, small group dialogue, and large group interaction.
The course will be led by Mark Tidsworth, founder and president of Pinnacle Leadership Associates, a growing source of high quality training experiences for clergy and church staff. Tidsworth has been providing training for clergy and church staff since 2001. His previous experience includes pastor, new church developer, therapist, trained leadership coach, and congregational consultant. He is the author of Shift: Three Big Moves for the 21st Century Church and co-author of Disciple Development Coaching: Christian Formation for the 21st Century.
