Description

Shift into Overdrive: Coaching skills for motivating and leading teams for optimal client outcomes (6 CEs)

Improve Outcomes for Clients and Teams through Coaching

From developmental conversations with direct reports and teams to counseling sessions with clients, coaching is happening every day. This makes it important to develop evidence-based coaching skills that inform your practice; help you drive results; and, give your staff and clients the skills they need to achieve the proper framework for developing their competencies.

Today, many more organizations use coaching to advance performance and build talent at each level. Many are finding they accelerate the process when internal managers build coaching skills. In this course, we will cover the following topic areas in coaching:

  • Learn what others are doing to drive high performance in mental health settings

  • Distinguish between leadership, management, and supervision

  • Highlight the role of coaching and its impact on improving outcomes

  • Discuss coaching techniques and practice skills

  • Develop a framework that can be used within your organization and with your teams

This live, face-to-face course is for 6 CEs. One CE contact hour is equal to 60 minutes of a learning activity. Attendees must participate in all sessions for which they registered and complete a course evaluation.

CE certificates will be issued on the same day and at the end of the class.

This course is targeted, but not limted, to the following: new graduates (BSW or MSW) or individuals who have recently changed fields of practice; individuals with a year or more experience in the relevant field of practice; and individuals with several years of experience in related work.
