Event description


This is a 4-series workshop. It is imperative that participants attend all four workshops in order to receive the full experience and critical information needed to receive endorsed certificates from Town of Manchester FIRE-RESCUE-EMS, MANCHESTER PD, BULLY BREED TRAINING, ASM of MANCHESTER and the GMCC . Those attending all 4 classes will be offered first option to register for the FREE “Mock Mass Casualty Event” taking place after the 4 part series concludes. (Date, time and location TBD)

Wednesday, March 6, 2019 - “Trusting Your Gut & Managing General Emergencies”

Trusting Your Gut: Don’t rationalize! What to do when: Alone in an elevator/parking garage. You have a flat tire on the highway in the middle of the night. Tips on how to keep yourself and personal property safe. Do’s & Don’ts regarding information you include online and your vehicles that predators look for. Exploring predatory behaviors and the “INCEL Movement.
General Emergency/Protection Topics:" Can you change your flat tire if you find yourself alone on the highway at night? Evacuation plans for you and your family in times of crisis. What are “weapons of opportunity?” Caring for your outward appearance in order to protect yourself.

Wednesday, June 5, 2019 - "Active Shooter Training"

Our community has already experienced a mass shooting. Would you know what to do in the event of an active shooter at work, or at a public event you are attending? Learn what to do from law enforcement professionals. Explore the Run. Hide. Fight. method. Tips to get yourself and others out safely. This workshop will prepare you for the “Mock Mass Casualty Scenario” to take place after completing all four workshops.

Wednesday, September 4, 2019 - "Once The Shooting Stops...Critical Wound Care"

Learn effective methods to stop life threatening bleeding with the use of tourniquets, Quik Clot Gauze, and other methods when first-aid kit options are not available. Basic First-Aid and CPR techniques will be covered, with resources to formal classes on these subjects, should you wish to pursue training further.

Wednesday, December 4, 2019 - “SECURITY...Personal, Home, Work & Away”

Gain knowledge on protecting yourself and others, whether at home, work, or on vacation. Topics to include: “Date Rape” Drugs, powdered alcohol, dressing practically for the seasons & situations. A panel of women who lead their field in the security industry will be on hand to share how they won an uphill battle to lead a male dominated industry.
