Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is proud to announce that their 5th Annual Charity Ball will be on Sat., April 22, 2017, at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Spa in Rogers, Arkansas.
This formal event gives you the opportunity to dress up, dine and dance, all while helping us honor our nation's Sheep Dogs - society's protectors, the men and women who have served or are currently serving in our military and first responder professions.
The evening's festivities will begin at 5PM with a social hour and silent auction bidding, followed by the opening ceremonies, dinner, and dancing.
We are honored to have USMC Corporal Aaron P. Mankin as our guest speaker. In May 2005, Cpl. Mankin was wounded during an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in Iraq near the Syrian border. Six Marines were lost in the attack, leaving Mankin the sole survivor. He walked away with second and third degree burns to his hands, arms and face, as well as injuries from smoke inhalation. Cpl Mankin currently lives in Arkansas with his two beautiful children, and has become an advocate for veterans across the country by sharing his story on national news programs.
Another highlight of the evening is the presentation of awards to the Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire & Rescue Sheep Dogs of the Year, as well as other special recognition and awards.
Event Dress: Military/First Responders-Class A/Dress Uniform
Proceeds from the Charity Ball will fund SDIA programs, including their major 2017 Outdoor Adventure - Marine Corps Marathon & Adventure Weekend in Washington, DC.
