Event description
Network and learn how to stand out in a virtual job search!

About this Event

Getting a job anytime can be a challenge, and now a common question we're hearing is - how can I stand out when the field is only getting more crowded with incredible talent, and on top of this, doing everything virtually? Join us for this special evening of networking with the She+ Geeks Out community and learn from our expert panelists on how to put your best foot forward when searching for a job virtually!

Agenda

5pm-6pm: Networking! We’ll have table topics for people to virtually join, up to six to a table

6pm-7pm: Panel discussion

7pm-8pm: More networking!

Speakers

Moderator:

Felicia Jadczak, Co-CEO She+ Geeks Out

Panelists:

Michelle Colina, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mimecast

Pam Yang, Career Coach

Jessica Brown, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mimecast

How is this going to work?

This will NOT be a Zoom meeting (yay!)... you'll be able to network in small groups of up to six people per table prior to and after the webinar. You get to choose where you 'sit' and there will be lots of pre-created topics that will be work and fun-related (furbaby and humanbaby pictures, book ideas, TV show obsessions, all welcome here).

During the panel, you'll be able to chat and ask panelists questions, which can be upvoted! You'll get all the info on how to access the platform ahead of time and below is a screenshot of what you can expect it to look like when you're in and virtually talking with people!

Thanks to Mimecast for sponsoring!

This event is a womxn-focused event that intends an inclusive definition of womxn. We are welcoming and respectful of womxn, including trans womxn and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a womxn in a way that is significant to them. We also welcome allies who are committed to creating environments that are supportive of people who are typically underrepresented in the workplace and beyond.

Please make sure to read our code of conduct before coming to our event!
