Get to know the Shaw neighborhood while learning new drawing techniques!
In collaboration with Pleasant Plains Workshop, and inspired by Urban Sketchers, participants will learn three unique drawing techniques for capturing the neighborhood in motion. Each artist will create a personal visual archive of the neighborhood, while receiving tips and feedback from the instructor and peers.
At the end of the Sketchcrawl, participants will discuss their experience and share their works during a "mini critique". No artistic background required - just the willingness to try new things!
Included in the workshop will be: drawing demonstrations, a gift of a small handmade sketchbook, sketching materials, and peer feedback.
Bring any additional art supplies you would like to sketch with, and good walking shoes. Be prepared to walk about 2 miles in total.
