As a professional woman of color in higher education, positioning yourself for career advancement means more than understanding the clear-cut obvious skills required for your success. What is really critical for your advancement is that you master the small but powerful skills that are often unwritten and unspoken.

Join me, Francine Parham along with other career experts, speakers, panelists, and facilitators, for this exclusive two part professional development event and program. You'll learn how to master the skills you need to advance. Most importantly, you'll get to develop and practice what you learn and get immediate feedback and coaching. Throughout the event and program you'll have the opportunity to network with other professional women committed to career success.

Day 1 - Friday September 20:

An intimate conversation with Dr. Angela W. Peters, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Albany State University and Dr. Sandra Miles, Vice President of Student Affairs at Flagler College.

Topic: The evolution of women of color in higher education: how have we progressed and what more needs to be done?

Day 2 - Saturday September 21:

Expert Talks and Workshops:

Career experts who will share their insights on topics such as the importance of telling your story, developing and having a professional brand, and how to build and/or leverage your network for career advancement.

Panel discussions:

You'll also have the opportunity to interact with experts on the topics of having sponsors and champions in the workplace and the economics of your advancement.

Group and Individual Coaching:

You will have the opportunity to put these insights and concepts into action with real time feedback and coaching.

You'll walk away with the HOW of:

  • Telling you story for maximum impact
  • Understanding your brand and how to use it for career advancement
  • Navigating the workplace through sponsors and champions
