Overview
Sharing The Magic of Colour: A Celebration Event
Join DIY for a colourful and relaxed afternoon of art, live performance and film - inside the beautiful Salford Museum and Art Gallery.
This Autumn DIY has been taking part in an exciting project at Salford Museum & Art Gallery – all about the magic of colour.
The 'Exploring the Collection: Colour' exhibition a showcases a variety of the museum's collection, and since September, DIY's visual arts group and BUDS drama group have been using the exhibition as inspiration for their sessions. On Thursday 11th December, you are invited to come along and see what we've made.
Expect brand new visual artworks, live performances and film; plus the chance to talk to the DIY artists who created the work and the opportunity to have a look around the stunning exhibition that inspired it all.
Light refreshments will be served.
This sharing event will take place as part of UK Disability History Month - an annual platform for raising awareness of disability justice and promoting understanding and inclusion.
The Magic of Colour project is being funded through the ‘Whose Art, Whose Culture Fund’ – Managed by Salford CVS on behalf of Salford City Council; monies from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund via Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
