Share Sharing in Social Housing: Crisis Toolkit Launch - London

Event Details

This event will launch Crisis’ revised toolkit ‘Spare to Share’; a guide for Housing Associations and Local Authorities delivering or setting up shared housing. The toolkit explores options for social landlords and makes suggestions of how different models of shared housing can be operated within a social housing framework. The toolkit also offers information on occupancy agreements, conversion, finances and management options.

The launch event will share best practice from registered providers facilitating sharing in their stock and from Help to Rent projects working in partnership with registered providers.  The event will also explore recent and forthcoming welfare changes, including the application of Local Housing Allowance (LHA) caps in the social sector and the loss of automatic entitlement to support for housing costs for 18-21 year olds.

Who is this event for?

These events will be useful for housing professionals from Local Authorities, their Arm’s-Length Management Organisations (ALMOs), and Housing Associations, as well as Help to Rent schemes working in partnership with registered providers.  We will be adapting this toolkit for both Wales and Scotland, hosting launch events for both in the coming months. Dates to be confirmed.
