Join Solar Oregon for a fantastic end of year extravaganza! Free food, drinks and fascinating conversation!

We'll hear from 7 other local nonprofits about the fascinating and important work they're doing to promote clean energy. Each one will have 3-5 minutes to present their work in a rapid fire slideshow that will be sure to leave you inspired and motivated!

The groups presenting will be - Forth,Twende, Passiv House Northwest, Community Energy Project, PGE, Sustainable Northwest and Bonnneville Environmental Fund

Dan Bihn - Senior Fellow at PSU will also be giving a presentation entitled: Sharing Electric Power in Times of Need

The magnitude 9.0 earthquake, ensuing tsunami, and nuclear meltdowns of 2011 showed Japan the importance of sharing limited electric power during the disaster and the year-long recovery. And Japan learned sharing wasn’t easy using their existing grid. They have set out to change this. Delightfully, the investments needed to improve sharing not only increase the grid’s resilience, but help the grid accommodate increasing amounts of wind and solar energy. And it pays for itself.

6-6:15 - Social time

6:15-6:45 - 5x Mixer

6:45 – 7:00 - Dinner served and drinks filled.

7:00 – 7:45 - Dinner and presentation by Dan Bihm on Sharing Electric Power in Times of Need

8:00 – 8:30 - Solar Oregon Annual Meeting – Board Elections, election of officers, status of Solar Oregon, and opportunities for a bright clean energy future.

8:30-8:40 - Closing and thank you.

8:45 – 9:00 - Brief Solar Oregon Board Meeitng – followed by clean up and Solar Oregon volunteer, ambassador, and Solar Oregon team social (clean up)

Arrive between 6:00 and 6:15 for social time and receive a complementary beer provided by Lagunitas for all 21+ who register on Eventbrite prior to the event. Up to (2) additional drink tokens available for a donation of $5 each. Raffle and door prize opportunities will be presented too!
