Since this is a FREE event, we are requesting that people bring a donation for the Ottawa Food Bank.
The Ottawa Food Bank was founded in the basement of the former police station on Waller Street in 1984. Originally intended to be temporary in nature, the Ottawa Food Bank has grown to become a staple food relief organization in the Region. Today, the Ottawa Food Bank supports 140 emergency food programs that feed approximately 45,000 people per month – 37 per cent of whom are children.
As part of giving back to our community, we are asking that attendees please bring non-perishable food items or a monetary donation with you on the day of the event. December is an especially busy month for the food bank, and your generosity is appreciated. You can click here to see a list of requested donation items.
