SharePoint 2013 for Business Users - Level 2

This 2-day hands-on, instructor-led course will be held in our downtown Portland, Oregon computer training facility. It is intended for site owners and power users who are looking to discover new tools and methods for enhancing SharePoint sites. You will learn how to deploy special web parts to display data in useful ways. You will learn how to develop and apply content types for gathering and retrieving relevant information. You will explore additional list and site templates. You will learn how to implement various tools for managing content approval, such as user alerts and approval workflows. You will learn how to develop custom workflow solutions in SharePoint Designer. You will also learn additional methods for analyzing and managing SharePoint site content.
Course Preparation: SharePoint 2013 Level 1 or equivalent experience.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Kinetic is located in a high-rise building in downtown Portland. There is close public transportation. If you are driving to the class there are several parking garages in very close proximity. Daily rates are approx. $12-13. Go to kinetictraining.com/customer_resources/locations.asp for driving instructions and a map of the area.
What can I bring into the event?
You do not need to bring anything. Computers are provided in the classroom as well as participant course manuals.
When should I arrvive, what can I expect the day of class, are there refreshments?
Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to class to check in and get situated in your classroom. Starbucks coffee, tea, juice and sodas will be available throughout the day. Snacks will be provided before class and at breaks. Restaurant maps are available to help you plan your lunch break. If you prefer to bring your lunch, a refrigerator is available as well as a place to eat and relax. Dress is casual and comfortable to allow for the optimum learning environment. Please bring a jacket or sweater as room temperatures may vary.
