Event description

Description

Nashville contains a wide variety of neighborhoods that share many attributes, but also have unique challenges and opportunities. February's Urban Design Forum will examine policy and design strategies for improving the health of Nashville's neighborhoods, and will discuss the importance of community involvement in development as Nashville continues to grow. This Forum will be held at the Cal Turner Family Center at the Meharry Medical College, and will feature several recent projects along Jefferson Street in North Nashville.

The Nashville Civic Design Center will unveil an exciting new neighborhood placemaking project as a part of the program. This program will also address how important placemaking is as density increases in communities throughout Nashville.

There will be a reception prior to the event for NCDC members.
