Shaping Family History into Compelling Stories
Do you have a box of old family photographs, a bundle of family letters, stacks of family documents that you want to “do something with?” Based on the experience of writing her memoir Jumping Over Shadows, the story of German-Jewish love that overcame the burdens of the past, author Annette Gendler will lead a two-session workshop presenting approaches to creating compelling stories from family history. Participants are encouraged to read Jumping Over Shadows before the workshop. It is available at Hemingway's Birthplace home, the Book Cellar and Amazon. Annette encourages you to bring artifacts and projects in progress.
