Everyone is welcome to join Shamayim v'Aretz for six vegan gourmet meals, insightful talks and presentations, community building, spiritual growth, outdoor activities and lots of fun at our fourth annual national retreat at the Pearlstone Retreat Center just outside of Baltimore, MD . The retreat will take place March 17-19, 2017.
We invite anyone with a passion for animal welfare to join us, whether you've been involved in the field for years or this is your first time hearing of Shamayim v'Aretz!
We will be joined by experts from the field including Paul Shapiro, who serves as the Vice President of Policy for the Humane Society of the United States; Dr. Aaron Gross, founder and CEO of Farm Forward; and Sarah Chandler, Chief Compassion Officer for the Jewish Initiative for Animals.
There are three ticket options available: one for a private room, one for a shared room, and one for those who are able and would prefer to commute to the retreat from home. We will be gathering information regarding roommate preferences, dietary restrictions, religious observance, etc. a few weeks before the event.
